Applications
FleMo fabric sensors are seamlessly woven into automotive seat upholstery, or MoTe pressure distribution sensors are integrated into the seats, to collect occupant body pressure distribution data. This enables the classification and identification of occupants—including children, adults, and empty seats—and provides reliable sensing data for airbag control strategies and occupant protection systems.
During the automotive seat R&D phase, the MoTe pressure distribution testing system can comprehensively reproduce pressure maps for occupants of various body types, quantitatively evaluate seat support and pressure uniformity, accelerate the iterative optimization of ergonomics, and shorten the development cycle.
Based on real-time body pressure data from FleMo fabric sensors or the MoTe pressure distribution testing system, and in conjunction with the seat’s electric adjustment system, the vehicle can automatically detect deviations in the driver’s or passenger’s seating posture and proactively provide adjustment recommendations, or trigger automatic adjustments to the lumbar support, headrest, and other components, thereby enhancing health and safety during long-distance drives.
